Dear Mr. And Mrs. Moreno:

My wife and I wanted to take this opportunity to express our enthusiasm as our daughter, Naomi, enters your Kindergarten class this year and to thank you for offering an educational alternative to the Miami-Dade County Public School system.

W.B. Yeats said, "Education is not the filling of the pail, but the lighting of the fire." As parents, we consider this to be a most critical time in our daughter's education. As you well know, Naomi has been with the REM Learning Center family for 3 years now, working her way thrugh the 'rainbow' colored doors at the Country Walk location. Throughout these 3 years, we have been amazed at the progress she has made and the skills she has acquired. You and your staff have truly lit the fire!

We were saddened as pre-K graduation approached, under the assumption that we would be leaving a very special part of our lives behind. But when you enlightened us as to the possibility of having Naomi continue her education at REM, it took but a glance between my wife and I to know what our decision would be.

Now that Naomi has been in your Kindergarten class for a month, I continue to be impressed with the entire REM program. Quality is the result of intelligent effort, and the effort you and your staff put forth is to be commended. In addition, I would be neglect if I failed to mention the well-rounded aspect of your program. The fact that Naomi can participate in dance, violin or the martial arts provides her with a cultural education my wife and I would be hard-pressed to duplicate outside of your program due to our hectic schedules.

In 1918, Henry Adams wrote, "A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops." I would like to take this opportunity to thank YOU and your staff for being such an influential part of Naomi's education and her life.
